Is hemp clothing worth the extra cost regardless of any other issues?

Hemp clothing can and often does cost more than 4 times as much as a comparable cotton item.

As far as life or durability of item is hemp worth the cost.

That is can I expect 4 or more times the life from a pair of hemp jeans?

I know of a lot of issues regarding cotton but can I justify the extra cost of hemp product(s) on durability alone?

There are about 2,000 different types of products made from hemp. Some of the most popular are twine & jewelry, clothing and accessories, food, bath & body, home & garden and furniture. Others, which I’m less familiar with include medicine, oil/bio-desiel, and composites which includes everything from skateboards to plywood. There is also a growing area of products used for building materials sucha as home insullation. In Europe, several car companies use hemp composites for automobile parts and interiors such as floor mats. The fastest growing area in the US are the food items because of the increased awareness of hemp as an ideal source of Essential Fatty Acides (EFA). Hemp is the best vegan source and the second best source after fish oil.

Are hemp products ever going to make a comeback?

Primarily speaking of hemp ethanol, and paper. (fun fact:First Model T ran on hemp ethanol)
Also, plastic, clothing, food source(I don’t mean brownies, the seeds have Omega 3 fatty acids), and the strongest rope around is made from hemp stalks.

What’s the deal?
I know the history, I’m just wondering if the greedy scum suckers are ever going to give up on oil and timber and use the safer option(for the environment) any time soon.
Plus I’m sick of the environmentalist wackos bitchin’ and moanin’ about the pseudo science behind Global Warming… and surely this would be a step in the right direction.

Big business (for example the cotton industry) with their lobbyist in Washington will never allow hemp to become profitable in the United States for legal uses. It’s cheaper and stronger than cotton, the material last longer and it works well for wearing during rapid climate changes (such as in tropicial areas).

Just my opinion on some things that don’t impress me much…we are all different blah blah blah etc etc etc..

All these products were purchased with my own fair cash – except the Benefit tinted moisturiser which was a gift from my mummy.

All products will be finding new homes…sister: you can have the MAC lipstick, bobbi brown eyeshadow, hairsprays and possibly hair products
