Why does the US Government refuse to allow the Ecology, Economy and People to benefit from Hemp cultivation?
January 31st, 2010 | by admin |Hemp has no narcotic, toxic or dangerous elements, yet it is constantly seen in the same regard as Marijuana.
Hemp is an incredible source of Bio Fuel that would generate oxygen while using carbon gasses that would be emitted by burning the fuel, the land would support the growth of this plant forever as it does not deplete the land of what it needs, and is therefore a sustainable crop, not requiring crop rotation or even harmful pesticides to grow, while capable of growing in many different climates.
The oil is so versatile that you can put it in the crankcase, fuel tank, frying pan or on your salad and the list goes on.
I read that if we used 6% of U.S. farmland for hemp, we would never have to import another drop of oil. I have also read that 10% of US farmland is unused; no deforestation necessary.
You can then use the pulp to make paper that last 10x the paper made with trees and you get the same amount of paper out of 1/4 the land used.
Many benefits, yet illegal?
the US govt has a vested interest in maintaining the current sources of raw materials and energy.
by using hemp in industry, multi national corporations could be slowly replaced and put out of business. since the govt is in bed with mncs, this would mess up domestic political and economic conditions, as well as create an imbalance in trading agreements. the US needs to import oil not just for the oil itself, but to secure investment in the US economy by the exporting countries (middle east).
the govt is covering its own ass!!!
think of the money that was generated by the 9/11 incident!!
boy, do i love conspiracy theories!!

You are on the right direction but on the wrong track. Yes indeed you can mane a ton of money out of legal Hemp. Wait a second, you DO make a ton of money having hemp illegal, infact you make tons and tons and tons of money having it illegal. Now who gets that money. Ok, most of it goes to the traffickers, most but not all. So you have Police officers, customs officers, politicians, government officials etc etc that make a hell of a living out of bribes.
You legalize it and you loose it all of it. And noone wants that!
