    Come on lets be …
Come on lets be serious, hemp is a miracle plant! What other plant can cure sickness and feed and shelter millions? How many americans would line up to try tobacco protein bars and wear tobacco underwear. MY point is , all signs show that hemp aka mary jane aka weed is a good product for whoever decides to use it. If i want to use it to get a buzz, then why not..people drink alcohol to get drunk, people take all kinds of “drugs” for non medical uses. Its ok to be buzzed once in a while!

    On rights, they are …
On rights, they are taken by free people and are not able to be taken away by governments because a free people won’t let them go. Privileges are granted to slaves and can be taken away at their master’s whim. Look at the Bill of Rights, note how they’ve all been eroded (excepting troop quartering which they don’t need) and tell me if which we are. Peace, Jim

    Once I dropped out …
Once I dropped out of regular society and stayed high for about five years. That may seem like it is different, but the result was that I no longer held the strict and very limited value systems that I held before. I no longer felt afraid, of anything, and no longer felt I needed a government to protect me from it’s actions.

I stay for extended periods, that’s for sure. Funny, I was just watching a George Carlin skit about that very subject of being divided. I don’t think the media is poor, it is doing a great job of keeping us uninformed!

Hey, you must camp here, I never saw such a quick response, but I was checking back and I have to say; I COMPLETELY agree with your assertion that we are intentionally being divided and pitted against one another (conservative vs. liberal etc.). It is INDEED a means to distract us (that, and really poor media) to work longer for less, pay attention to unimportant issues, support jingoism (which is Super-Patriotism), this and more while they steal the wealth and rape the land.

    Orwell, indeed.

    Well, getting “high …
Well, getting “high” and using drugs to cure sickness are different. I will leave you with just one last thought. I know it is very hip to hate government lately, but remember, we do not get to vote out leaders of corporations. Insurance companies (and their profits) stand between you and your doctor (and they can drop whomever they wish).

Our government is an institution “Of, by and for the people” as stated in the U.S. Constitutions Preamble. Our rights are important, and must last.

    If you REALLY want …
If you REALLY want to save all the drugs on the planet, stop the Rainforest deforestation in South America. Most plant, insect and animal species there have not been genetically mapped, yet the plants and critters in the Rainforest are responsible for such drugs as Aspirin, kidney treatments, blood thinners, etc., etc., etc…

So, while I join you in your anger at big pharma, I know that Hemp can indeed be separate from Marijuana, though they are both from Cannibis.

    The Russian strain …
The Russian strain has mostly the low THC qualities, but the THC in the seeds as well have health benefits. It is just another healthy cannabanoid and the one that has the most important health benefits. But, just because you engineer the thc out of it, doesn’t mean it’s not weed. It’s all the same, just the nazis hate anything that is good. Until both sides unite together as one, and quit allowing the nazi bastards to divide us, we will remain slaves to stupid laws. As we deserve.

    Yes, engineered is …
Yes, engineered is the reason they are now different. But the hemp that nature makes can be cultivated for either seed or smoking. As both uses hold a lot of positive uses for society, both uses should be used in my opinion. And most americans as well. The pro-marijuana crowd has a bad rap because of the stupid “You just wanna get high” accusations. Well, what’s wrong with that? Especially when it helps to relieve the stress of dealing with a government that tries to control what you ingest.

    …and despite your …
…and despite your assertion below, the THC is not “artificially removed”. Hemp (or Cannibis) grows naturally in as many climates as the grass on your lawn or a Savannah. Like grass, there are varieties of Cannibis and those interested in it’s THC levels cultivate that. And YES when Cannibis is producing high levels of THC it is NOT producing a long fibrous stalk, and it is NOT producing healthy, fertile seeds.

My point: Different uses, different intention, different results.

I knew they are the …
I knew they are the same but cultivation is key.

Indian Corn is not yellow, but it IS corn. (Chive IS an onion, Flounder IS a fish.) Corn is a great example to use: It is no longer cultlivated by natural selection but “engineered”.

The Cotton Lobby & the pro-marijuana crowd intentionally introduce confusion in the Cannibis crop for opposing reasons: The Cotton Lobby to discourage competition from Hemp, while the pro-marijuana crowd wants to piggyback onto an important, useful crop.

    If you didn’t alter …
If you didn’t alter the seeds by taking out the THC, you could get high off of it. This is an artifical change because the true nutritional benefits of using THC in the seeds would eliminate many of the big pharma medicines. If you think they are inherently different, then you don’t know about the plant.

    Also, the pro= …
Also, the pro=marijuana crowd is very much concerned with civil rights, medicinal uses, the many industrial uses of non-psychoactive marijuana (or hemp for those of you who believe the plant is different), and many other fields. Industrial hemp is a very important aspect of marijuana cultivation, but also limits it’s use.

    While I realize you …
While I realize you believe hemp is different from marijuana, it isn’t. Just because the THC has been removed, doesn’t make it different. While the Russian variety doesn’t smoke well under any conditions, the others would if the seeds were altered by we humans. Apparantly, what makes hemp different is the growing conditions. You could use a sativa marijuana plant like Columbian Gold for hemp as well. All you have to do is plant it very close to each other.

    I wish that the …
I wish that the pro-marijuana crowd would not jump on the back of Industrial Hemp. Hemp is something this planet should not do without if we plan to continue to survive.

There is a powerful cotton lobby in the USA, and they are too happy let people confuse Pot with Hemp. Cotton growth has geographic limitations, and therefore has a finite number of growers, and a captive market. Cotton is very environmentally UNFRIENDLY.

We would be better off with hemp, please help THAT issue.
