i would like to lose around 5 – 8 pounds max
right now i am doing 40 minutes cardio every day at the gym (6-7 days a week), keeping steady heart rate at 160-170 (wave machine *great for lower body* and bike usually on level 5)
plus walking 15-22 km per day (speed walk)
i do strength training (weights) 3-4 times a week..
i dont spend more than 1 1/2 hrs at the gym…
i eat 3 times a day.. breakfast snack lunch dinner
for breakfast i have eggs (protein) usually 2 or 3.. whole wheat toast natural OB and coffee and 4 tbsp of hemp hearts
lunch i have fruit veggies eggs (not alot ..hemp hearts are full of protetin and i find they keep me really full)
dinner is either chicken or some kind of lean meat.. with veggies and long grain rice
no junk foods..fried food..or anything unhealthy..i stay away from chips..fst food.. never drink pop juice or sugary things..
i drink 6 bottles of water per day..equals out to 12 cups
im having trouble losing those last 10 pounds tho!
any suggestions? and do you think my cardio is sufficent.
thanks alot guys
also: i started this life style june of 2009 and have lost 30 pounds so far.
Can I ask, why do you want to lose weight? You’re already slightly underweight for your height, so it’s going to be harder for you to lose weight than someone who actually needs to lose weight. Weight doesn’t determine size either. Some people can lose weight but still not be at their goal; some people can gain weight and fit into smaller clothes.
Your diet and exercise regime is as ideal as you can get. You’re getting a little bit too much protein, but you need it when you exercise as much as you do. Just aim to be healthy! If you lose weight in the process then great! If not, well then you have your health.

It sounds like you’re really on the right track. At this point, your weight loss is probably slowing down or even plateauing because your body has reached an equilibrium between calories in and calories out. At 5′7, it isn’t a great idea to go much lower weight-wise anyway; your body is probably trying to tell you that this is the right weight for it. You might take off another 5 pounds or so if you continue this regimen – it really sounds great and regardless of whether or not you lose more weight, you’ll be in great shape – but it will take a while to see the results.

You have a great regime!! You’re gaining muscle mass as you burn fat and calories, so you may want to lay off the strength training until you lose those few additional pounds. Good luck and congrats on your amazing results!
