how well did i eat today?
March 5th, 2010 | by admin |i’m aiming for a six pack so i need to cut carbs and have lots of protein. was this a good day? i ran for 40 mins, went kayaking for about an hour and did ab work and crunches for 40 mins.
i drank 2 litres water.
breakfast: tofu and apple loaf (pretty low carb… made with apples, tofu, cinnamon, egg and whole wheat flour)
lunch: medium banana with 3 tblsp peanut butter, 1/2 cup 1% milk
dinner: spanokopita with most of the filo pastry taken off, 1 cup greek salad w/o oil, 1 cup v8 juice
snack: 1/2 cup zero yogurt w 1/2 banana and 2 tablespoons hemp hearts.
haha actually i didn’t do it for attention… who needs attention from people over the computer? i get enough in real life thanks.
peanutbutter doesn’t have butter… it’s a ‘power food’ for building muscle and has healthy fat and protein. i need to eat more fat cuz i usually get like, 10 gs max.
wtf!? Yea that girl that said the thing about peanut butter doesn’t know anything. We are Vegetarians its how we get our protein. N.E ways you eat way little but i do too so i cant really say anything lol. But its okay i guess if you have enough energy to go about your days its fine. but to my point of view i think its very little. I also wanted to know what are Hemp Hearts??? i love hemp stuff?

Well you did pretty well but the peanut butter is a lot of calories so just keep that in mind.

Actually Mrs Gamlen, peanut butter is excellent nutrition for those who are very active as the asker obviously is. It is one of the things I was advised to eat both for running and when I was swimming competitively.
For the asker, I’m not sure the calories are enough, just be careful you don’t exhaust yourself on a low carb diet with all the exercise you are doing. The body needs fuel, and the most efficient form of this for a sportsperson is undoubtedly carbs

It sounds like you’re on the right track and you know what you need to do. Make sure all your meals have a decent amount of protein. For example, lunch seems to be a little lacking.
I don’t know your height/weight, but make sure you’re eating enough calories. If you don’t your body will go into starvation mode and hold onto the extra body fat.

ha wow some people on here are ass holes. I think you did amazing! def good on the protein, i would think you could have a little bit more carbs and be fine though! carbs are you energy, and youre gonna need the energy if you want six pack. Maybe add a slice of bread, brown rice, or oatmeal, something. You are doing well though! im sure you will get your six pack. Maybe a few more cals too? i know you are recovered anorexic, you just dont want anything that might set it back !:) you have been doing so well tho! but cutting calories again could cause relapse, thus muscle decreasing, and well no six pack! so just watch out
