Is this a good diet plan?

May 8th, 2010 | by admin |

I’m 5′8, 120 lbs 15% body fat, aiming for a six pack.
I do 2 hrs of exercise every day, I do strength, cardio and of course ab work. I’m trying to do low carb, high protein. How does this program look? Any suggestions/tips?

Breakfast (9): 1/2 cup fat free yogurt with 2 tablespoons hemp hearts.
Lunch(12): 2 scrambled eggs with cheese and 1 cup v8 juice.
Snack(3:30): Fibre 1 granola bar (25 g carbs)
Dinner(6:30): Whatever is served. Usually 1 serving grains, 1 serving protein and 2-3 servings vegetables, with 1 cup 1% milk.
Snack(9): Banana peanut butter smoothie (1 small banana, 2 tbsp PB, 1/4 cup milk, 1/2 cup fat free yogurt)
drank 2 litres water.
Rob B: Thank you for your time and answer, but I looked up everything I ate (I didn’t have the eggs with cheese) and it all worked out to 30 g. I’m recommended to have 60, so I really don’t think i have a problem there. 1% milk has 2g of fat per cup.

yes that is awesome :) eat like this everyday and u will have ur six pack in no time

I would say have some more carbs at lunch and breakfast, that way you will have more energy which is good!

Not enough breakfast! Add a protein shake or a meal replacement bar, you need some more energy!

    No, not at all.

You need carbs to keep your energy up for your workouts so don’t fall into the "low carb" BS. Your calories should be 60% carbs, 20% fats, and 20% proteins.

Scrambled eggs with cheese, peanut butter, and milk are way too much fat. Go with egg whites (no cheese), a fruit smoothie, and use skim milk.

Aim for about 1500 calories a day total.
