It is actually only in the solvent for about two to three minutes. Not all oil is dark like that, but certainly soaking it for hours is not what we recommend due to the plant waxes and chlorophyll in the plant itself. It doesn’t take much to knock off the cannabinoids (including THC). Soaking the whole plant for hours in solvent is only adding impurities. This oil looks dark in a tube, but when smeared on a white surface it is golden in color, it just is not translucent in the tube, it is thick.

For those confused, ‘hemp’ is a term that is used TODAY to refer to industrial hemp, which has almost no THC. However, our founding fathers (U.S.A.) referred to potent weed as ‘hemp’. People like Simpson are trying to revive their use of the word to describe all marijuana plants, not just industrialized hemp. Therefore, he refers to this oil made from potent marijuana plants as ‘hemp oil’.

@InsideTheUnknown leaf isnt hemp, hemp is a term used to describe industrial weed

Hemp is grown to make paper and shirts and such, while weed, even the leaf and stem contain THC in much more abundant amounts.

While using leaf and or stems wont make as strong of oil it is WAY more cost effective and provides similar results.

sorry but this is a very POOR method not the finish but the start was just fail.

1. you dont need to use bud – with this method it will cost you $4000-5000cnd every 2-3 months not very practical for preventative users(worth it for cancer patients i am sure) use leaf cheaper and more abundant

2. dry out the bud/leaf till bone dry then powderize it with a grinder.

3. pour in the iso let sit covered in warm place for 24h

4. Strain mix with coffee filters or britta, then do the rice cooker.

I don’t think it is intended for smoking, unlike BHO this oil is a more of a “full spectrum” extract, certainly if it is as dark as the specimen in the video, it will contain a lot of chlorophyll and plant residue.
