Can "cannabinoids" be found in your system (via Drug Screen) if you’re using Hemp Seed Oil lotion?
May 14th, 2010 | by admin |It is made of hemp seed oil and in ( ) it says cannabis sativa…which is what?
Hemp seed has cannabinoids in it though…
No. There is not even a small risk of it. The strains of cannabis sativa L. which are grown for "industrial" purposes in Canada, Australia, China, most of Europe etc. are regulated by law to contain less than .3% THC.
The hemp seeds that your oil are made of are then washed in a power washer before being crushed for oil. THC is not present in the seeds themselves, it could only be present on the shell of the seed. The power washing removes whatever trace amounts of THC which might be present on the shell and reduces it to only a few parts per million.
Once your hemp seed oil is mixed with other ingredients, to make food or cosmetics, the trace amounts of THC are negligible and not detectable even in the product, much less in you, onced you’ve used the product.
There has been quite a bit of research on this. So no, you can’t blame your positive pop for weed on a piss test on your suntan lotion or your breakfast bar. Just cop to it.

LOL. No. Most tox screens are looking for THC, the active ingrediant in Marijuana… which hemp lotion does not have.

Anything hemp has trace amounts of THC in it. The chance of testing positive for THC with use of lotions is small but it is a risk you take. Most false positives with lotions occur when applying lotion over cuts, scrapes, acne, or any open wound.
If you are in a situation where it really matters then you should avoid using any thing derived from hemp. (hemp jewelry and clothing is OK)

That reminds me of when Eilane on Seinfeld ate poppy seed muffins and tested positive for heroin. LOL
There’s probably not alot of THC if any in Hemp lotion, considering there’s not alot of THC in Hemp (not the same plant as marijuana). You have to smoke a joint the size of a telephone pole to get high off the hemp they use to make your lotion and clothing.
