For theists–how do you decide what herbal substances are "okay" to consume?

January 31st, 2010 | by admin |

How do you decide between shitaake mushrooms and psilocybin mushrooms?
Between salivia divinorum and Salvia officinalis?
Between chamomile tea and blue lotus tea?
Between hempseed oil and marijuana?

Thanks in advance.

I decide based on whether or not the herbal substance is legal, and whether or not it’s dangerous to consume.

Basically I don’t like chemicals that alter my mind or my perceptions (or harm me). It bothers me to relinquish that aspect of my consciousness to the random effects of a substance. So if a particular configuration of an herb has that effect, I’ll steer clear of that configuration. I have no problem at all with using these substances in a benign or industrious way (i.e. hemp rope/paper).

Theists use their common sense and ask the experts before they do anything rash. But of course you knew that didn’t you.

psilocybin – mother nature’s natural antidote for our ignorance and destruction. (opens the 3rd eye, a very good thing)

either salvia (3rd eye). wisdom is good.

blue lotus tea – it is tastier

hempseed oil – don’t like marijuana because it’s not that good, it’s illegal, and there are too telltale signs. yes I know magic mushrooms are also illegal but they are a low priority for law enforcement (while marijuana is somehow a high priority???)
